Addison w/ Gma and Gpa Wissink
Well, I'm finding I have a difficult time getting around to posting. There are definitely those who are far worse than me... I won't name names but you know who you are ;) And, of course, there are those who diligently fill us in on all the goings on in the valley of the sun - thank you Lisa! So, I will try to summarize the past month or so and add some favorite photos!
Now, where to begin??? Our wonderful daughter made a grand step in sleep patterns and started sleeping through the night (mostly) just after Thanksgiving. It has taken some persuasion and she still has those nights (like last night) where she wakes up every hour wanting someone to get her pacifier or just say hello. She has also begun to roll over - mostly from her back to her stomach, but I caught her rolling from front to back once too(Dec. 29th)... it looked like something she'd done a thousand times it was so natural, but I haven't seen it since. She's sneaky like that. Besides rolling, she has found a way to scootch around. It isn't an army crawl and, really, it's difficult to notice. She finds her way into the corner of her crib at night and in general doesn't really stay in one place when she's set down for tummy time or just to play on a blanket.
Dan and I are also trying to soak up all those great gummy smiles while they last since she's sprouted TWO teeth...the bottom teeth are out! This didn't seem to slow her down too much. She was a good sport about it all, hopefully the rest of her teeth will be as easy for her :)
Outside of keeping up with Addison's new endevours, Dan has given the dining room a new look. He finished painting the dining room shortly after Thanksgiving and is now working on completing the entry way and hallway.
For Christmas we headed out to California to see my family. We left Friday 12/21 and returned home 12/27 via a red-eye flight. All the travelling went well and it was so great to see the whole family again. We have some great pictures of Addison with her cousin Garrett...there would be some with Logan as well, but he wasn't as cooperative with the paparazzi ;)
More photos can be seen on our flickr accountWe celebrated Christmas with Dan's family on the 30th and tried to celebrate New Year's eve with some friends...but the kids were not so cooperative with that effort. We ended up driving home around 11:40p - such is life these days. We weren't really all that broken up about it to be truthful.

11:40? p.m.? Well, I think we had you beat. I believe we officially retired on New Year's Eve at 10 p.m. It's official. We've become our parents. It really happened much sooner than we expected!
You guys have been on a whirlwind. I hope you're rested enough to spend a little time visiting with a couple of desert-dwelling girls looking for fun. Just please make sure the fun ends before 7:45 p.m., because one of us will need to be in bed after that. :-)
We're heading over to GR tomorrow. I'll give you a call when we've arrived and settled. Hope to see the three (Ruby, too) of you soon.

I am listening to it right now. Jan. 6. Very nice. Have you ever listened to Greg Boyd?
Neil
Neil, That's cool that you found the link to listen. I guess they are going to drill in to that book for close to a year.
Stay in touch
Dan
P.S. you are a blogging fool. I don't check back for a few days and you have made about 5 entries.
You're something else.
