I visited the doctor yesterday and she again looked at me and just said "why haven't you gone into labor yet??" Why does the doctor get to ask those questions? I haven't been sitting on the couch eating bon bons! So, it was time to schedule an induction and she left the room to call over to labor and delivery. She came back and told me she had tried to get me in for the 18th (today) because she is going to be covering the deliveries that day, but they are absolutely booked. Since I don't need to be induced, I just get added to the end of the list. It's crazy to me to think there are THAT many people having babies...but then again we know more than a dozen couples having babies this year.
Anyway, the doctor said that they have me on the schedule for Saturday, July 21st, at 6am - BUT they may call any day during the week if they have an opening...I thought it was pretty funny, like being added to the wait list at Outback. ;)
Looks like I'll have yet another day or so to take it easy, catch that afternoon nap and soak up some snuggles on the couch with Ruby.

Actually my friend was in the same situation as you, and was told 2 different times she'd for sure be induced - but each time they bumped her saying the same thing...they were too busy to take her, and since she wasn't in any danger, they'd try to get her in the next day.
I know how anxious you must be to meet your little girl - it'll be here soon enough!

Wow i agre..."on call" that is somethin' else!
When we had Rylie Jayne there were 8 different babies born that night and I dont know how many the next. We even had to be moved to the Orthopedic floor cause they had run out of rooms and we were healthy. I couldnt believe how many people were having babies...its so funny.
